8 apps that streamline my business!

Hey all, welcome back to the #SocialBlog!

It’s 2020 and there’s most likely an app for anything that you want to do in your business.

On top of that, it saves you time! It takes some time, in the beginning, setting up your report just as you want it, but after that first run it takes seconds to change the date range. All you have to do is read and analyze it (if needed).it, invoices and mileage. n I’m outside of “normal” working hours.

Minus the basics of safari, mail, social media platforms and my calendar, I have 8 essential apps to use while on the go!

1. Canva (or Adobe).

Canva is life-saving for my business! I know how to work within Creative Cloud, but I would never say that I’m an expert. I normally like to work within a pre-made template, touch-up photos or edit videos when it comes to my Adobe products. And for everything else there’s Canva.

If you don’t know what Canva is, you’re missing out! This app has pre-set dimensions for what seems to be an endless amount and includes pre-made templates. It’s essentially graphic design for dummies.

I love this app because it gives me back time in my day and lets me create high-level creatives.

That being said, many people and companies use Canva so it’s very important to use branded content and if you do choose to use a pre-made template be sure to customize it. You don’t always have to search the topic you need under the template section just find one you love and get to customizing!

There are both a paid and free version to this app.

2. Buffer.

My social media manager. The app that lets my business run without my having to be behind a computer screen.

Buffer is a social media manager and they have multiple plans based on your needs (including analytics). These plans give you suggested times on when to post content based on the geographic area of that brand. You can link your Facebook Page/Group, Instagram Business/Personal account, Twitter, LinkedIn Page/Profile and Pinterest to your Buffer account. And what makes Buffer even better is if you have a business Instagram account linked you can eve schedule your stories and add the first comment to your Instagram post without having to keep track of the time!

There are both a paid and free version of this app.

3. QuickBooks.

This is my “non-accountant” accountant! I track all of my invoices, expenses, travel and estimated taxes on this thing! If you’re in the market for a cashflow app this is the one for you! I t’s not free, but comparatively (I use to use Wave Invoice) it’s worth it.

Any receipt I get from expenses go right into this app by simply taking a photo of the receipt. I’m not perfect at that, but I’m getting better. I have a customized dashboard based on what I feel is most important: linked accounts, profit, invoices and mileage.

There is only a paid version of this app.

4. Grammarly.

To the people that know me, I have zero skills when it comes to grammar and spelling…I picked the wrong industry to build a business in I know 😉

I probably spend more time proofreading than I do actually creating content because I never want to put something out that isn’t grammatically correct. Luckily, I can out-source the majority of my copywriting, but the content that I don’t (like this blog) I use Grammarly.

There are both a paid and free version of this app.

5. Go High Level.

This is one of my advertising automation platforms. I always set up the initial ad on my laptop, but when it comes to tracking the automation and giving organic responses (when needed) this app comes in handy!

I can easily track analytics from any ad that I’m running, schedule appointments, add contacts and so forth. I normally use this app for text and voicemail campaigns, but it has other features such as email, white labeling and other integrations.

There is only a paid version of this app.

6. Whatagraph.

There are both paid and free versions of this app.t marketing experts, so it’s important to me that I have easy-to-read, eye-catching and graphical analytic reports for them.

Whatagraph does just that. I can connect social media accounts, ad accounts, website analytics, mail chimp and so much more to this app.

After the integration is made and I set up the report as I want it to look all I need to do is add in a time frame and I have my analytics! They give the “important” data that most will be looking for and gives this data in a way that even without extensive explanations most can read and understand what is going on in their business’s digital community.

On top of that, it saves you time! It takes some time in the beginning setting up your report just as you want it, but after that first run it takes seconds to change the date range. All you have to do is read and analyze it (if needed).

There is only a paid version of this app and it’s only on desktop.

7. Zoom.

Zoom is my main communication hub for my meetings. I’m sure most of you know what Zoom is due to the pandemic so I won’t get too far into it.

However, with having clients nationwide it makes meetings so much easier. I can meet with clients face-to-face (virtually) when I normally would not be able to do so.

There is both a paid and free version of this app.

8. Frame.io

This one is for my video editors out there! Many videographers will send video files to their clients to review and being on both ends (reviewing and editing) it is SO ANNOYING having to find the start and end time of each section you want to be edited.

With Frame.io it’s as easy as hitting the space bar. The video will automatically pause and you can add a comment directly to the video. No more searching for a time in your video because it’s all right there! On top of that feature, you can use Frame.io as a content hub and store all of your videos. No more external drives or large files being sent back-and-forth between you and your client(s) because it’s all right there in the cloud.

There is only a paid version of this app.

I hope you found some new apps to help streamline your business and save you time!
